Βασίλης Παπακωνσταντίνου (b. 1950) is a Greek singer.

He was born in a little village in Arkadia, though his family moved to Athens in 1957. He began singing at the age of twenty, and after his military service in 1973 he went to Munich, Germany, to participate and sing at anti-dictator rallies attended by many Greeks. In 1974 he met Μίκης Θεοδωράκης in Paris, and two years later they began to collaborate.

He returned to Athens in 1974, and he started his professional career . He participated in Manos Loizos' album "Ta tragoudia tou dromou" . The next year he recorded "Ta agrotika" of Thomas Mpakalakos . It was that time when he met Manos Loizos and Thanos Mikroutsikos , two composers who brought a new sound to greek music . Vasilis was ideal to express the two artists . He cooperated for the first time in 1976 with Mikis Theodorakis and 2 years later Mikis Theodorakis , included him in his international tour giving him a chance to sing in Europe , America and Australia . From that time he started showing his influences from foreign rock , in his first two albums which he recorded in early 80's . His Latest album came on 2007 called Metopiki.
