Description

Confirming recent rumors, Bad Company and Joe Walsh have announced plans to embark on a 25-date co-headlinining tour this summer.
The tour, which begins May 12 In Dallas, will travel under the banner One Hell of a Night, and find the acts rotating the headlining slot. In the press release announcing the shows, Walsh joked that he told Bad Company singer Paul Rodgers, “If it’s a long bus ride, I go first!”
“I had always hoped that we would do something together, and so here we are 30 years later finally touring together, said Rodgers, who referred to Walsh as “a unique person and an uber-talented singer, songwriter and musician” and quipped, “It has taken us this long so I wouldn’t miss this. Unless you want to wait 30 more years for our next tour in 2046.”
“I’ve loved Joe Walsh since I first heard the James Gang many years ago — looking forward to playing with him again!” said Bad Company guitarist Mick Ralphs. “Getting back onstage with Mick and Paul is always a thrill for me,” added drummer Simon Kirke. “Knowing that I get to see Joe Walsh every night makes it that much better.”
The tour also features Rodgers’ son, Steve Rodgers, as the opening act, and will offer a special VIP package for fans, which Walsh referred to as an opportunity to “give back something special to as many people as possible who have been supporting both our bands all these years.”
The One Hell of a Night tour finds Walsh promoting his most recent effort, 2012’s Analog Man, and will begin shortly after the arrival of a classic-era Bad Company live album. “I have a huge amount of respect for Paul, of course, and the band and we get along great,” said Walsh. “Paul and I agreed it would be a hell of an evening of music, one that will be memorable for everyone who comes, and memorable for us, and that’s important in this day and age.”
