After 2 CRAZY editions of Hush Hush earlier this year with Maceo Plex and Ben Pearce, our third edition invites two blokes from the Parisian and Berlin underground scene to Culture Club: Dan Ghenacia & Shonky!
Dan Ghenacia is the undisputed king of the Paris underground scene and one of France’s hottest DJ exports, having founded and run for 7 years Freak N’Chic. Nowadays, together with Shonky, they’re two of the three creative minds behind new label and b2b DJ outfit Apollonia.
Shonky had his first release on Apollonia in February; The Minneapolis E.P was received well by critics and party-goers alike, featuring his trademark bumping basslines and groovy, smooth house rhythms. He has been a main stay at DC 10 this year, as well as at Panorama Bar and Watergate in Berlin where he now lives.
Shonky and Dan met in Paris’ Club Batofar many years ago, at an afterparty where Dan was spinning. Shonky was immediately impressed with Dan’s genre crossing style and ability to maintain a constant groove. Later on Dan ended up being impressed by (then) upcoming talent Shonky.
They have been inseparable since.
They will be supported by Neon, Leesa, No shit like deep & L. Bossa!
