SULK
Under the rainy skies of London, the shining sounds of Britpop, Shoegaze and Psychedelia are back in bloom. Locked up in the back room of an east end gallery stirring up 90s inspired sonic harmonies, this five-piece’s influences are less worn on their sleeves, than branded on their hearts. Bands such as The Stone Roses, Suede, Ride and The Verve are wholly evident, but this isn't nostalgia for old time’s sake. It’s a whitewash of powerful prettiness; with sun-drenched vocals, ethereal guitars and pounding drums, rooted in 90s vibes but with its eyes to the future.
SULK mix what came before, and what’s yet to come into crushing waves of beauty, honesty and anthemic bliss for a whole new generation.

TOWNS
Towns follow their debut single, ‘Gone Are The Days’ with a second for Cartoon Records on 28th May. ‘Just Everything’ will be available as a digital download and, for those very quick off the mark, as a cassette single limited to just 50 copies on Howling Owl Records.

Towns debut single, ‘Gone Are The Days’ saw the band showered with praise from all corners, with the likes of NME, The Fly, The Guardian, Zane Lowe, XFM and 6 Music marking them out as Ones To Watch. With NME declaring ‘Towns are about to cover themselves in glory’ and The Fly thrilling to their ‘electrifying mix of thick fuzz and squealing guitar hooks’ it is little wonder that the band are now talked of in excited whispers in all the right places. ‘Just Everything’, like ‘Gone Are The Days’ was produced by Owen Morris.

With this release Towns continue their local love in with Howling Owl the label that released the first ever Towns demo and special limited edition label EP for Record Store Day, alongside United Fruit, Fairhorns and Spectres. Felix, from The Naturals, another Howling Owl band, directed the video for ‘Just Everything’.

Towns take to the road again for the single release following shows with everyone from Toy to Tribes in a joint headline tour with Sulk including a Fly Ones To Watch at the Barfly in Camden on the day of release, they also confirmed for festival appearances at The Great Escape, Dot To Dot, Boardmasters and Sound City over the summer.
