Description
A joint promotion from Underachievers and Pull Yourself Together...
World Atlas are a wonderful Brooklyn band that combine many instruments and wide ranging influences to make luscious orchestral indie-pop. The vocals will draw favourable comparisons to Stuart Murdoch, a band that is undeniably an influence. Much like their contemporaries The School, they seem to perfectly gel 60's soul rhythms and modern day indie-pop songs. Their first EP was released in March 2010 on Magic Marker Records and the songs already sound like timeless indie-pop classics. See them here at this gig first!
Support comes from wonderful indie-pop songsmiths downdime.
'Backed by the zesty Squirrel Records, downdime sound every bit the cool sub-radar Leeds outfit, with this eight-song album recorded at The Brudenell Social Club. It’s a messy attempt at something very pure, and that is always a good thing.' - High Voltage
THIS GIG WILL BE JUST £5 ON THE DOOR.
