The Melodic Power Metal band The Barque of Dante comes from Mianyang,Sichuan.They were formed in 2004 by Xie Zhiheng and Liu Yuan ,two students on university . In 2004, the band released a 6-track EP titled 『Paean for hero』.The EP was self-produced and released independently in network .They also put their mp3 audition in some website .Soon ,they sold out all 200CDR .But the band then was looking for the new member in a hurry due to the leaving of Xie Zhiheng .At that time he just graduated from university .
