1971年，（Roxy Music）在艺术摇滚运动中应运而生，核心成员包括主唱Bryan Ferry，吉他手Phil Manzanera，萨克斯手Andy Mackay和键盘手Brian Eno（73年离队单飞）。由于对先锋音乐与流行艺术的强烈喜好，乐队成员对时尚的追求决定了这支乐队的风格。虽然当时只有Eno一人化妆作性别模糊的中性装扮，但他们令人目眩的奇异服饰和迷幻浪漫的优美旋律使后人同样把他们归入了华丽摇滚范畴。 Roxy Music的迷人魅力与浪漫气质是70年代初期音乐的杰出代表，72年乐队第一张同名唱片刚刚发行就打进英国排行榜Top10，这张专辑里有三首歌后来都被Todd Haynes用进他反映华丽摇滚的著名影片《Velvet Goldmine》。之后的两张专辑《Stranded》和《Country Life》更是把这种唯美浪漫发挥了到了极致，他们早期的音乐被认为是艺术摇滚与华丽摇滚的混合体。之后Ferry逐渐把音乐风格转向流行的迪斯科节奏，但82年乐队的最后一张专辑《Avalon》，Bryan Ferry飘渺优雅的声线仿佛把听者重又带回香艳迷幻的70年代。洛克西音乐团于83年北美巡演后解散，之后乐队成员在各自的音乐道路上继续发展。
