1980年代中期组合的一支德国速度/能量金属乐队，当前成员包括：Hansi Kürsch（主唱、贝司），André Olbrich（主奏吉他），Marcus Siepen（节奏吉他），Frederik Ehmke（鼓手、打击乐、长笛、风笛）。 乐队最初叫做“Lucifer's Heritage”，此期间发行过“Symphonies of Doom”（1985）和“Battalions of Fear”（1986）两个demo，更名为Blind Guardian后在1988年推出了首张专辑“Battalions of Fear”。 Blind Guardian的作品深受J.R.R.托尔金（Tolkien）、迈克尔·莫尔科克（Michael Moorcock）的作家的影响。 98年主唱Hansi Kürsch与Iced Earth吉他手Jon Schaffer组成乐队Demons & Wizards。 05年4月鼓手Thomas "Thomen" Stauch退出。Frederik Ehmke接任。 不知从何时起，托尔金的名著《Lord of rings》系列作品开始不断启发着无数音乐家的创作灵感，在这幅无限宽广、壮丽的奇幻画卷中，各路音乐人在其中施展着自己的才华：从古典到New Age，从摇滚到重金属，《Lord of rings》经… 了解更多
