Exposing people to new music is something we live and breathe at Last.fm and it's the pubs and clubs that play host to live music experiences that we, as music lovers, crave. With that in mind we've got together with New Crush - a brand new regular night in London that will be bringing the freshest new sounds to venues in London such as the Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen, Barfly and more, with guest DJs from blogs and labels too.
Bands can apply to play via the Gigmit platform here.
The first event kicks off this Monday 6th July at the Barfly with three bands very much at the start of their journey - Reykjavik Kids, Scarlet Rascal and Long Teeth
Reykjavik Kids are from Newcastle and fuse indie and dance with its roots deeply aligned with the likes of Interpol and The Rakes. Listen here and then RSVP on Last.fm here. The show is free entry before 8.30pm so make it count.
Following that, on Friday 10th July, we have one of the finest exports of garage rock from Spain - Mujeres (pictured above). Formed in 2007, the Barcelona quartet channel the lo-fi sound of The Strokes and have racked up just shy of 11.5k listeners on Last.fm in that time. New Crush is an opportunity for the band to play their biggest London headline show to date.
