Spirit Adrift is an American heavy metal band formed in Mesa, Arizona. The project began in 2015 as the solo endeavor of Nate Garrett (Ex Gatecreeper), and eventually grew into a full touring band (with Sonny DeCarlo, Mike Arellano and Ex Carcass guitarist Tom Draper). The band is now based in Austin, Texas.
From the start, it didn’t take long for SPIRIT ADRIFT to strike a very loud, resounding chord with worshippers of the riff. After 2 released on 20 Buck Spin, 2020 saw the release of SPIRIT ADRIFT’s Century Media debut, Enlightened In Eternity (a split release with 20-Buck Spin in North America). Decibel magazine awarded the band a cover. Said the Austin Chronicle: ‘SPIRIT ADRIFT’s fourth full-length gallops through a philosophically epic song set focused on metaphysical awakenings and untapped personal power.”
In 2023, the band announced their upcoming fifth album, Ghost at the Gallows. With this last one, Garrett has delivered SPIRIT ADRIFT’s most fully realized work to date. A record that confidently stands at the crossroads of heavy metal at its most epic and elemental and hard rock at its most honest and heartfelt. On their way to the summer festivals, where they will be performing in England, we are delighted to be able to welcome them to Brussels for the first time.
