Yup, I totally understand where you coming from on the new T&S. I might have to give it another spin to fully give an opinion on it. Ohh man, yes! Purity Ring is pretty nice. I always find a new song on that album to kinda fixate on. Right now it's Grandloves. I really, reallyyyyy liked the new Local Natives. A whole different vibe, but I think it's a good one. I don't think anyone really expected them to go that route since Gorilla Manor had that up-beat feeling. I think it was great for a second album, and it shows a different, darker? mellow tone, but still grabs your attention. What are your thoughts on it? Also, do you listen to Foals? I recommend you check out the newest release, but if you don't, try out Antidotes (more scattered, but pretty nice drums and guitars) and then Total Life Forever. The progression they are doing with their sound is great. : )

Ohh, that's great. I've only watched their performance from kexp, very nice. I can't find any of their older songs, though. That's greaaaaaaaat! I hope it goes well for you. : ) With me? Ahhh, you know, just another year in school going again. Just doing that for now and waiting for concerts, which keep selling out before I even have a chance to know about them. hahaha. Ohhh, your thoughts on the new T & S? I've only heard it once so far... only Shock to Your System and Goodbye, Goodbye have stuck out so far. : \

I'm sooo sorry for the late reply! Been caught up with things. I totally understand where you're coming from for Tegan and Sara. I'm not into their new stuff and even at second listens. . . think I've outgrown them or something? Does that make sense? haha. Yeaaaah, probably going to take me forever and a day to finish this degree at the rate I'm going. It's gotten a bit better, though. It's just finals week coming up and the zombie mode has been activated. That's awesomeeee. How were the shows? The xx sold out here already. :( No hope for shows.

Wow, a lot has happened! Congratulations on finishing undergrad, and good luck with finding your grad school. Umm, with me. . . let's see, university has pretty much sucked up my whole life now; practically live in math homework and reading. I almost wanted to throw in the towel last fall, but just stuck it out. I just realized that I haven't been to a concert since May '11. That's pretty ridiculous. Metric and Stars are coming next week, but it's all before tests. : ( No luck here. How was Tegan and Sara? I finally listened to Closer, but haven't really kept up.

Oh, Vic, Vic. haha! You've brightened up my day with that. That' so funny. You know I would've told you if I had finally given in to tumblr. I'm still holding on strong, but that's because I've been really busy this fall. The most stress I have ever gone through, but finals are over. I'm scared to check my grades because university seriously kicked my ass. I'm in that "holy. . . third year and do I really want to major in this?" phase right now. How are things going for you? How's Europe? I think the last time we chatted you said you got into a program. I hope all is well over there. Yes, crazy Jenny is my avi. . .Why? I can't really answer that right now and I can't say why she has still remained up, but she has gorgeous eyes. :)

Me too! I'm ready for winter. I will never understand how people say they love "summer" in Houston. Gosh, Vic, that sounds freakin' awesome about being in Europe. Congratulations in getting into the program! Aww, you and your pretty lady, how sweet. Looks like everything is falling into place for you, I'm happy for you. My summer went by a bit too fast for me, but I'm all jumbled up with excitement and anxiety because I'm finally at Uni. I settled for staying in Houston, and I'm hoping I'm not making a mistake. Seriously, the concert going has completely died down for me. Last concert was Arcade Fire and it was one of the best experiences ever! And then the post-arcade depression began. haha! I couldn't stop listening to them pretty much throughout all summer.

Ahh, I've been better and being constantly reminded why I don't like summer in Houston. Nothing exciting other than going back to school. Which I mean, really? It's not that exciting. I just want to be lazy for a longer time. How was Europe?

Of course I did! I feel like I'm missing out over here. It's usually guys running around to fix everything. (I mean, some are adorable, but come on) The BSS roadie almost resembled Lisa a bit, but with a super intense stare. She almost made me feel guilty for checking her out. There was a guy and girl to my right side, and we all thought she was staring us down. Then we all agreed to pretend we were doing something else if she looked our way. I think she was on to us. I got a set list from her, though. haha! Ugggh! You got to see Kaki? and her guitar technician? I will trust your words on that.

Oh yeah. . . Lady Gaga and her egg. I was hoping she would pop out like a dinosaur or something. haha. I did not think Arcade was going to win, honestly. The way the awards were going through that night, and the people in the category. I was like, "Whaaaat?! YESSSSSS!" I was all, Vic will soon hear the news. It was great to see them smiling so hard. No way! Ireland? That's amaaaazing! I hope it all falls through for you. :) Oh yeah, Vic, why didn't you warn me that one of the roadies from BSS was a hottie?! Rare to see girl roadies. I got distracted during the show. I felt like sharing that with you for some reason, and I had already told some of my friends that I fell in love for about 2 hours. haha!

Did you notice my play count for them? What have you done to me?! haha. I can't help myself sometimes. I've been great, just enjoying the days as they roll by. I'm looking into veterinarian medicine right now, but who knows it will stay that way. I'm only getting done with my basics right now. I know I keep telling myself to stop being a baby about it. I've gotten a bit more comfortable with the idea of leaving for a while. How are you doing? Did you catch Arcade playing the grammys? I think that was the topic for the whole week in music after their win.

Tumblr has taken over your life now. haha just kidding. It seems like a good Christmas for the both of us. :) I feel the same way about school. The only thing holding me back from going out of state is the tuition, it sucks really bad. If all goes well, hopefully A&M this fall. I'm kind of having doubts about going, but that's probably my homesickness thoughts getting the best of me. Their name seems familiar, but I will make sure to give it a listen. Have you listened to Magic Man? You can get one of their full albums from on here.

Yeah, I started with Funeral. It's been on repeat for a bit. I didn't want to jump into the new record right away. Thank you for making me check them out sooner than I would have. I'm stoked on finally seeing BSS and more than likely we will get Lisa here, either way, it's going to be awesome! I haven't been to a concert in a while. I need them! Holiday break was a success of laziness and sleeping in. I didn't ask for anything, but it worked out great because I got four new hoodies and new shoes. How about you? Still thinking about coming to Texas to study?

Ahhhh! I was relieved when this semester was over. Guess whaaaaat? I'm finally going to see BSS as headliners. 2011 is already starting off great. :) I don't know what is holding me back from getting a tumblr, but I'm sure I'll cave in soon enough. I'll let you know when that happens for sure. Which Arcade Fire album should I start with? Funeral or Neon Bible? I hope you have a great new year.

C´mon Sea Legs - aka the theme song to my life!! Oh you know, once this girl asked me wheter I could recommend something by PJ Harvey. And of course I ended up writing a detailed description of the sound and style of each album and chose two songs I thought were defining to each record. I think she found that creepy. I just enjoy stuff like that. Getting to write about music and make lists and shit, not making girls think I'm creepy, that is.

Now I'm sorry for the late reply. We're finally getting into the week before finals; my stress levels are ridiculous right now. Ohh yeah! I got to go see Stars. They were amazing and I could not stop listening to them after the show. Yay! I hope you enjoy Frightened Rabbit. I finally came around to getting Ra ra riot's latest, I keep going back and forward with the previous. It's good, though. You've done it. . . my curiosity has been sparked. I really enjoyed that. I hope everything is going well over there. :)

Ugh I would love to come be your friennnnd, I wanna do new thingssss. I can't decide what's worse though, a place populated by hipsters or a place where no one has any clue what a hipster is or what their culture is comprised of. 'Cause I wish people here actually knew what I was talking about when I said "hipster" but they think I just mean like a trendy person. Sigh. I'm so tired dude. I will respond to your "shout" more fully when I have time! I promise.

That's basically all there is to Florida. It's humid most of the time and sweaty and when it's cold everyone bitches endlessly because no one's used to it. And it's also relatively sceneless. I know that sounds shitty, but seriously there is nothing going on in my part of town. It's like, Orlando is all the Disney shit, Miami is all the anorexia and fake tan shit. But I do fun things here that I could do anywhere I guess. I drink and I see comedy shows from time to time and I work and laugh like I would anywhere! Tell me about Vancouvah.

Hello, hello I'm doing mighty good. I finally had a relaxing four days without any worries of school; it showed up at the best time. I would recommend giving Frightened Rabbit's "The Midnight Organ Fight" a listen. I've had it on repeat for weeks now. I have to give Foals a second listen, but I liked their recent record. I've been listening to The National a lot. I think it's mostly a reminder of how I missed their concert here, but I just could not muster 30 bucks in time. It blows because High Violet is one of my top favorite records of this year. So. . . I just found out that they moved Stars' show to another venue, which suckssss because I'm about ten minutes at the most from Warehouse. I'm still going, though. I'm counting one of my friends for this favor, so far so good. :D I'm excited! I've yet to give Arcade Fire a good listen and I don't know why I still haven't. I have so much music to catch up to, but I will someday. haha! How have things been for you?

Whoaaaa, talk about up close and personal! Seems like an amazing show. Nooo, I've only seen them at a summer festival here. I think we have talked about this before. haha. Other than stressing over school as usual, I'm doing okay. :) Ughh, I turned in my History mid-term last week; 21 pages written. . . and I was shocked at how I managed that. Not necessarily new bands, just finally having time to listen to the ones I've been meaning to check out. Finally got some Frightened Rabbit, Edward Sharp and the Magnetic Zeros, Foals. Heyyy, Stars are stopping by Warehouse! I thought of you. What about you? Any new gems over there?

Divided! Hey, at least you got to listen to a different set list, right? I was reading about how they're preparing to release the new DVD; I'm exciteddddd! Seriously, I thought in my chem classes we would be blowing things up. I was mistaken. So far, we've only seen chemicals change colors. . . very exciting at 8 in the morning. hahaha! Ugggh, I feel you on the stressing part about school. My history class alone is mentally murdering me this semester. I can't believe we're already in October, but my procrastination skills are slowly getting better, and by better I mean worse. Kidding! I've actually been keeping up with most of the work. Sorry about the late reply.

Ohh, that's still pretty sweet! Do you get to blow up stuff? I realized that it's barely going to be a month of school, and I'm already stressing. The TnS/ Paramore show was really great! Of course, TnS went right through that set really quick. I felt a bit disappointed from where I was seating since my whole row was just sitting down; I was still sang. It was still worth it, though, seeing them twice in one year! Paramore puts on quite the show. Aww! You're going to get a sweet show.

I have about two weeks left before waking up at 8am becomes a reality again. I think I just want to go back because I have nothing else to do around here. The one goal for the summer was to find a job, but I failed at that. :( You're lucky! I haven't been to a show in a while, I think since Local Natives. I'm having a little heart attack because I might not make it to TnS since transportation is a hassle. The National is coming here! I have to definitely get my ticket for that. Yes, the heat. . . when you start sweating when you're in your house sitting around, or walking around, I think it's safe to say it's ridiculously hot. When do you start school again?

Right now I'm working on getting an associates in science, with hope of majoring in veterinarian medicine. I do the same thing! Internet friends can become the most awesome friends. That's fine by me, we're automatic friends because last.fm said so. haha! My summer has been completely relaxing with short bursts of excitement, but I'm ready to go back to school. (whaaaaat?! I know, I know. . . horrifying.) I'm also ready for winter because this heat is ridiculous. How about for you? How was school in the summer?
