Hey I saw what you meant when reading your last shout on the JB page, didn't know you were specifically speaking of the "list" people - I despise that crap too. It's all over certain areas, like certain electronic subgenres, obscure psych, and metal. Speaking of psych, is that a new Bee Mask release you were listening? I still only have that lp from last year and found it more intriguing than re-playable, but I do want to hear more.

I really just expected a greater range of sounds. Not a bad effort, still better than a lot of stuff in the same sound, but just not as good as it should have been, considering his previous releases. I hear what you're saying bro, its a never ending problem with music. Just using it as a scene to further your own image. And if you say anything along the same lines as what you did on Blakes page, you end up being derided as a music snob and to just 'enjoy the music'. Not enough people realise there's a lot more to liking a certain music than 'just listening', if that makes any sense. If you're not going to actually be 'into' a certain music, why comment on it as if you're a leading exponent of it. In reference to skrillex, I suffered through a week of his latest release being track of the week on radio 1 while working out and it was a horrible time. Snobbery or not, he cannot be referred to in any sense as anything near good.

Well... speaking of vaginas, someones got sand in their's a bit? And speaking of 15 year olds, you've hit the nail on the adolescent head there. My brother really likes them and decided to listen to their album over and over while I was at work last summer. I found out only too late after he'd wreaked havoc on my last.fm stats (also listening to an unholy amount of kele) at which point I forbade him from using my itunes and now he obediently uses other software to listen to his kiddy tunes. Brothers eh? I'm trying to wean him onto more acceptable forms of music with varying degrees of success.

"equally abysmal band to" I thought you were a (at least in the past) fan of the xx?

Oh, really? :( I basically really really like his Gil Scott-Heron rework. I liked Gil's actual album and Jamie's version adds the electronic/the xx(ish)/postdubstep/whateverstep (yes, I just used those words :P) feel. He came across as very down to earth, genuine, etc in a 6 Music show he did and I haven't found any reason to criticize him.

Hugely nostalgic. I downloaded a PS1 emulator and a FFIX iso to provide me with some entertainment during periods of down time in this horrific month of essays. What's pretty nice is that the feeling of nostalgia towards simpler times of playing those games and being children seems to be across the board... last.fm, Youtube, Amazon... everyone loves retelling where they were when this track was playing, or whatever. I haven't listened to Nobuo for a sustained period for a long long time. It's been good!

haha i went to my uni towns local 'dubstep' event called dubboro on thursday. was only really decent music being played 2 till 4 but was still worth it. all the indie faggots are gone by then anyway. it's pretty funny though, you even get middle-class toffs whoring dubstep now. if any girl is wearing high-heels = get out.

I'm with you on those. Infinite Jest is my favourite book by anyone ever. Currently reading his Oblivion collection of short stories which is turning my brain into mush.
