Mary and Martha were so sad that day
Sickness and death had taken Lazarus away
But into their hopelessness the Master arrived
At the sound of His voice
Death had no choice
For Jesus is the Giver of Life

She walked to the grave, she felt so alone
She just had one son and now he was gone
But in the midst of her sadness Jesus stopped by
The dead boy opened his eyes
When he heard "Son, arise"
For Jesus is the Giver of Life
They crucified my Lord on the cross
To those who had followed it seemed hope was lost
But early on Sunday the Son would arise
The angels said "Go, let the whole world know"
That Jesus is still the Giver of Life
Jesus is still the Giver of Life
He still has the power to break the shackles of night
