Sorgeldom came to life by Jodöden in late 2006 starting out as an acoustic project with a somewhat depressive direction and with a small catalouge of only one demo. Two years later in the summer of 2008, Sorgeldom developed into a metal act along with two new members, Dr: Sundén and J.marklund (Vocals, Drums). Creating a more widen sound with different influences like postrock and shoegaze mixed with blackened thrash metal but still keeping the original acoustic pieces close at heart. Later Frostscald Records signed the band and the debut album (Innerlig Förmörkelse) was released in August 2009.
