With ancient practice at its core, Australia’s premiere taiko drum ensemble TaikOz blends tradition with the latest Australian and Japanese compositions.

Combining the primal power of the Japanese taiko drums with the ethereal tones of Riley Lee’s bamboo shakuhachi, TaikOz is exploring a synthesis of East and West, old and new.

The Gathering includes several new works and features guest artist Timothy Constable from Synergy Percussion, adding a new dimension to the group and raising its expressiveness and power.
