w.x is the alias of Ian Witzel, born 09 July 1988 in DeKalb, Illinois. Influenced by noise and experimental artists such as Sonic Boom, Robert Hampson (Loop, Main) and Merzbow he has experimented with music software programs and mixing techniques. In 2007 alone, he had 10 releases, all of them self-released and highly experimental. By the end of the year he started experimenting with delays and time stretching and created long drone tracks. He has also released music under the name Slow Motion Warfare.
