The Moon Knights are a band formed in the early 2000's from Anchorage, Alaska. The principal songwriter, Lester Smiley formed the band with friends Julie Schneider, Dan Chanar and later Adrian Schneider, influenced by Beat Happening, Belle & Sebastian, Clinic, The Coachwhips, Bikini Kill and others, it was perhaps, comics savant Warren Ellis who described them as "cacophonous bedroom pop."
