the 8-eit (FKA as 8-eit) is a jazz and rock fusion band formed in Japan in May 2005. They went on hiatus in 2012 and returned as "the 8-eit" in 2017. They started by releasing a few demos in September 2006, then another in April 2007 and a third in August. These releases got them some attention and they were able to organize a tour of their country, which was sold out and hosted in Shibuya on August 8, 2007.
