The State Chukchi-Eskimo Group “Ergyron” (“Sunrise” in the Chukchi language) was created in 1968 as a professional dance and song Chukchi-Eskimo group. In 1974 it acquired a status of a state ensemble. In August 2000, it was recognized as the most precious cultural heritage object of the peoples inhabiting he Chukotka Autonomous Okrug.
