She grew up playing piano and singing in church, starting at age four. As a lyricist, Ames has penned songs for the likes of Kelly Clarkson, Akon, Tori Kelly, Adam Lambert and Icona Pop. Now focusing on her own artistry, she plans to release her EP in January 2019.
