YFC emerged from the early 80's Christchurch, NZ scene among such luminaries as The Gordons and The Builders. YFC (originally a pisstake of the religious organisation Youth for Christ, but the band were later forced to change their name due to legal action) were characterised by their 2 bass and drums line-up. In 1984 they travelled to Auckland to record their an EP which was released on the 'Hit Singles' label.
