Wolff Cyclop (* 1476/1477 in Zwickau ; † after 1526) was a German humanist, physician and neo-Latin poet. The surname is actually Kandelgiesser and occurs once in 1502 in the register of the University of Wittenberg , since 1507 Latinized as Cantarifusoris . Guolfus Cyclopius was the humanist name used since about 1509. In his German writings, the author called himself Wolff Cyclop . Wolfgang (Wolff) Kandelgiesser grew up in Zwickau and received lessons from Laurentius Bärensprung.
