The Waxfire is a brooding new quartet from Olympia, WA., that plays a heavy and alluring form of modern-day chamber music. Vocalist-cellist Jen Grady wails with a dark urgency reminiscent of Fairport Convention's tragically troubled singer Sandy Denny.
