Originally VOM MEISTER EMPFOHLEN were DIVING DEEP, an Austrian band that existed since 1994. In 2000 they got a record deal, but had to change their name because the company said that a band that sings German should also have a German name. They released the single 'Keinen Gummi mit' but there was no success, so they split in 2001. 3 of the members came back in 2001 with the project RISING GIRL, which was much more successfull. Trivia: VOM MEISTER EMPFOHLEN was the name of the third DIVING DEEP-Record.
