"Dreamin'" is a song by singer, dancer, actress, & model Vanessa Williams written by Lisa Montgomery and Geneva Paschal and originally performed by the family group Guinn in 1986. Released on August 16, 1988 as the third single from her debut studio album, The Right Stuff (1988). In the United States, the song was the breakout hit for Vanessa, Dreamin' peaked at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 in April 1989 becoming her first top 10 hit.
