As many other bands from the so-called Neformat scene of Kiev, Ukraine, UPRISING FOMALHAUT were formed by the guys who played with each other for a long period of time. UF's founding members were guitarists Yuriy Nagorniy (NICE WINGS ICARUS!) and Mike, who both played previously in emo-band TASTE OF TIRAMISU.
