"Anesthesia" is a song by Type O Negative, included on their sixth album Life Is Killing Me, released in 2003. This is a popularly well-liked song by fans with its rhythm and change of character in them. It has a part resembling that of the band Paradise Lost. It is about the limbo felt of not wanting to live with all the hurt and pain and yet not wanting the pain of death. The only option is to numb yourself with drink and drugs. The song fades till the end when it's 30 seconds left, then the soft piano comes in and Pete whispers the final lyric line.
