Trey Brown was born in Odessa, Texas, USA, and honed his musical craft while attending Pepperdine University in California. He eventually settled back in Austin, Texas. His first studio release, Smoke A'risin', was released to critical acclaim in the March of 2008. It combines Appalachia folk and Americana and melts country into the downtown city lights.
