"German outfit TRAINER plies an angular, jagged and jarring branch of noise rock that is tempered by a kind of Mission of Burma esque post punk. Their debut album Athletic Statics is out now and is a banger. For us, a highlight is undoubtedly ‘Once In A Lifetime’ (fair warning, it is not a Talking Heads cover). This showcases their love of riffs, chanty vocals, a bit of Mudhoney irreverence and noise. And, at the end of the day, who doesn’t love a bit of noise in their life? (Overblown).
