Ton Lebbink (1943 -2017) was perhaps best known as the drummer of Dutch pop group Mecano, and also as a bouncer at Amsterdam's Paradiso club, but he also produced two LPs of poetry reading, in Dutch. Don't let this put you off, non-Dutch speakers: the music is quite nice too. Ton uses the Linn drum computer and some guitars. Its a funny record, sometimes sad. 'Voetbalknieën' is a an absolute classic. Ton Lebbink also recorded with early 1980s new wave band, Couleur Locale, See: Ton Lebbink & Couleur Locale.
