Mandolinist Tom Ohmsen describes his new CD "Acoustinova" as his version of a new kind of "jazz-swing-latin-bluegrass-blues music. It's based on the concept of a what if – as in what if bluegrass pioneer Bill Monroe had collaborated with jazz (and gypsy) guitar innovator Django Reinhardt?
