Coleman is a San Diego native though he currently is buried in Oregon. His musical journey started in a small mariachi band called "Beautiful Rosemary" who toured the Yucatan peninsula though the early 90's. The band dissolved when Coleman was shot outside of Campeche while performing at an open air market. His band members abandoned Coleman to his fate.
