After a spell in Jamaica voraciously absorbing reggae and dub, Thee Balancer returned to Germany, enrolled at Cologne's Academy of Media Arts and focussed exclusively on sound design and film score, a grounding that gives his tracks a rich atmosphere and spatial depth.
