The Unfortunates are an indie four piece from London, formed in January 2013. The band met through a shared love of cult novelist BS Johnson's work, and they took their name from his 1969 "Book in a box": (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Unfortunates). Their sound has been compared to bands including The Kinks and Television Personalities.
