Growing up in Wakefield, David Taggart, Rylee Taggart and their cousin Alex Serre watched their parents playing music at family get togethers. Eventually the younger generation picked up their own instruments, joined in, and then took over entertainment duties. Incorporating long time family and childhood friend Nick Johnston ( also of Wakefield),The Strain produces a unique Indie/Blues/Alt Rock sound that is influenced by bands like White Stripes, Phoenix and Arcade Fire.
