The Splendid Trend is the evolution of the New Harmony Blutones which was started by Chad Rainey of the Half Rats, who had turned the Blutones into a one man band project. A few years later, Chad and Danny (former Purdue Video School friends) reunited and began playing as a 2 piece, with Danny running projected visuals.
