The Rainbows were a group started in high school in Washington, D.C. They were a hot group in local talent shows and parties. Members of the group were Jessie Belvin, Billy Stewart and Marvin Gaye. There song Mary Lee was the first fast tempo of the "Doo Wop" rhythm and blues.
