“The Quiet Awakening” are an English folk, rock band from Essex / East London. Formed in 2006 they are Alana Laing (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, flute, French horn, percussion) and Dom Russell (lead guitar, backing vocals, piano, harmonica, saxophone). The pair met at school where they were both music students and, on the basis of friendship, and a common interest in music, were firstly involved in a local band “Epidemic” and laterly played together as a duo.
