The Mission District became a band during the Summer of 2004 when David Rancourt (vocals), Travis Barfoot (guitar) and Rob Rousseau (guitar) decided to work on a few song ideas rather than baking in the hot Montreal sun. After adding long time friends Antoine Rochette on bass and Patrick Naud on drums near the end of the year, the Mission District started spreading their dream pop to the masses with a series of local shows.
