The MadHatters were founded in 1997 by Chris Yahng and Chad Musolf. They were the first and are the premier men's a cappela group at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Their first CD was the award-winning State Street, a joint project with Tangled Up in Blue, the women's a capella group at UW - Madison. Both groups were honored to have a track chosen to appear on the 2002 Best of College A Capella CD.
