The proto-primitive garage rock duo known as the Leather Uppers was founded in Toronto, Canada by Greg Tymoshenko and Craig Daniels. Born out of the malaise and fatigue brought on by the post-metal pre-grunge musical vacuum of the time, the Uppers opted for a barebones drums, guitar and vocal-based sound.
