Elly Lucas originally only picked up the violin so she could learn how to play the Captain Pugwash themetune, aged somewhere around 8 years old. Since then, she's toured the country multiple times as part of "David Gibb & The Pony Club" and reached the finals of the BBC Radio 2 Folk Award 2011 as part of duo "David Gibb & Elly Lucas". The Ivy Frame is Elly's little recordings-only solo project, just a little way to get a few songs out of her system every now and again.
