Started in 2004, The Haterz was a DIY punk rock band consisting of a semi-revolving lineup of mostly young and poor drunken working-class African-American young men from the South East side of Chicago. The longest-running lineup was the trio of Calvin Chaos aka Xombie Panic (lead vocals & songwriting), Freddy Dredd (bass guitar) and Brian Altimer aka Jarhead (vocals & rhythm guitar).
