The Foreclosed started in March 2009 in Toledo, Ohio when Aaron Cain (vocals) and Alexander Clawson (guitar & vocals) got together to work on songs. Soon Jim Wodarski (guitar) joined the band and they played their first gig at Bill's Bar & Grill in south Toledo. In September of 2010, Deanna Kaczala (bass) and Jon Brug (drums) joined to fill out the line up. Aaron Cain describes the band's sound as: "Rock 'n' Roll with varying degrees of country and punk influence." Uncle Tupelo, Social Distortion, and Neil Young are major influences on the band.
