The Flatbackers were a popular UK all-female trio from London. They recorded 4 singles with indie label "Red Shadow Records" in 1980-81. They made several national radio and TV appearances that should have got them into the Top 20 of the UK charts, but due to some bad luck with distribution, they only managed a brief appearance at number 50 with their first single "Pumping Iron".
