The Fisher Family (from Scotland) were well-respected folk-singers. Archie Fisher (born 1939) sang traditional songs, as well as writing his own; his younger sister Ray Fisher (born 26 November 1940; died 31 August 2011) sang old ballads in a magnificent voice; Cilla Fisher, with her husband Artie Tresize, performed both traditional and contemporary music as well as a large repertoire of children's music. After recording an album together in 1965, the Fisher siblings only occasionally re-united for tours or special appearances; mostly they recorded material separately.
