The Expressos were a British power pop/new wave band that released one album, “Promises and Ties,” in 1980. The band’s 60s-inspired melodies and vocalist Rozzi Rayner’s performances were reminiscent of acts such as Blondie and The Pretenders. “Promises and Ties” included four singles - “Tango in Mono,” “Hey Girl,” “Kiss You All Over” and “By Tonight.” Expressos also released a track called “Valentino’s Had Enough” on the soundtrack for the 1980 film, “Monster Club.” Rayner currently runs an official Expressos MySpace page, onto which she uploaded some new recordings in 2007, includi… read more
