The End of the Universe was formed in late summer of 1982 by guitarist Brett Mathews (Jesuit, Hatebreed, Goddess), bassist Ian Sabo (Goddess, Channel) and drummer John DiGiorgio (Converge, Iron Maiden, Canephora). Following some early jam sessions, Brett recruited Josh Nelson (Tu Madre, This Was Your Life) on vocals, and the foursome immediately hit it off.
