Hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana, The Consolation Wars was formed in summer of 2008 by former DirtyCircuit frontman Jesse Sinopoli and local singer Jenna Richard. They began working on an album almost immediately. Their music is written uniquely in that it is done almost completely separately. Jesse writes instrumentals which are e-mailed to Jenna, who in turn writes lyrics to them. The only time they get together is to record their finished songs or to play live.
