The Montreal punk band The 222's, who took their name from a Canadian pain killer of the same name, were formed by Pier Major (lead guitar) and Jean (Frisson) Brisson (lead vocal) in the summer of 1977, joined a few months later by Angel Calvo (bass&drums), Louis (Louie Louie) Rondeau (drums, vocals, keyboard). Christian Belleau (bass) replaced Angel Calvo a year later.
